Threadveins and Varicose veins studies show that every second woman after the age of 25 years has problems with varicose veins and tissue laxicity. The venous system is a network consisting of large and small blood vessels intertwined with another. Weaknesses within this system can lead to problems in the whole network. If larger veins are affected they are known as varicose veins and small vessels are known as threadveins.
The weaknesses within the venous system have first to be diagnosed and documented using doppler and ultrasound techniques. Thereafter a cosmetic aproach if appicable can be undertaken in the form of KTP laser therapy or sclerotherapy using foam or fluid.
